| The
Children's Diseases Foundation (CDF) is a nonprofit public benefit
corporation organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes
within the meaning of Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Its purposes are to conduct, assist, raise money for, save and invest money for and/or provide financial support for:
- the
provision of health care, disease prevention and wellness services to
and for children in the United States and throughout the world; and
- the performance of research, education and other
activities in the field of childhood diseases in the United States and
throughout the world.
Funds raised through CDF are
distributed to a number of children's hospitals, care facilities and
organizations in cities such as Washington DC, Philadelphia, Oakland,
Chicago and Detroit as well as to international organizations that
fight children's diseases.
